About Cassy Sanderson, MS, LPC, NCC

I have been working in the Mental Health field for 5 years, and I love it more every day. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2012 from Wheeling Jesuit University. I then completed my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling in 2015 from Carlow University and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor. Throughout my schooling, I focused primarily on child and adolescent studies, as well as trauma counseling.

I have worked in a preschool teaching behaviorally and emotionally disabled children, ranging in ages from 3-5 years old, and I have also worked in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting doing outpatient mental health counseling.

In my years of counseling, I have found passion in helping children and families cope with trauma, behavioral issues, issues through divorce and blended families, as well as helping people discover their own passions in life. I am a strong believer in the idea that all people have strengths, and I love to help people find, expand, and develop their strengths. I also have a heart for treating veterans and/or their spouses who suffer from trauma and PTSD.

Outside of work, I am an NASM certified personal trainer. I enjoy everything fitness, working out and staying healthy – mentally and physically. I like to read and spend time with my animals and loved ones at home. I try to volunteer and give back locally, especially with the non-profit organization, It’s About the Warrior Foundation, who helps out our local Veterans.
