Isabel Massella, Psychology Intern

My name is Isabel Massella and I am a graduate student currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from PennWest University. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice from California University of Pennsylvania. I am passionate about being an advocate for mental health wellness/accessibility in rural communities. It is my goal to help dissolve the social stigma associated with mental health treatment in these areas as well.

I have always been drawn to the counseling profession because I believe we as humans have an innate ability to provide support for each other and become resilient to situations out of our control. It is my goal to work collaboratively with my clients to identify and overcome difficult aspects of life in a manner that works for them individually.

My focus is working with younger individuals (children-adolescents) and gaining experience working with all individuals struggling with mental illness.
