Cassandra Sanderson, MS, LPC, CCTP, CSTS
EMDR Trained/Certified
I have been working in the Mental Health field for 7 years. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wheeling Jesuit University. I then completed my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Throughout my career, I have focused primarily on trauma counseling, but also working extensively with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, behavioral issues, marital issues, etc.. I use a therapeutic approach based on your needs. I like to use Reality therapy, CBT, EMDR, and person-centered therapy often.
In my years of counseling, I have found purpose in helping people find their passions. I believe that all people have strengths, and I love to help people find, expand, and develop those strengths. I also have a heart for treating veterans and/or their spouses who suffer from trauma and PTSD.
Outside of work, I am an NASM certified personal trainer. I enjoy everything fitness, working out and staying healthy – mentally and physically. I like to read, be active, and spend time at home with my family and animals. I try to volunteer and give back locally, especially with the non-profit organization, It’s About the Warrior Foundation, who helps out our local Veterans.
