Megan Phelan, Psychology Intern
Hi, my name is Megan! I'm currently working towards obtaining my Master's degree in Professional Counseling at Carlow University. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Jefferson University, with a minor in Gender and Health Studies. I have experience as a social work liaison for a nonprofit and in childcare, as well as certifications in suicide prevention.
I have always felt compelled to help others and listen to their stories. I believe everyone has the ability to grow and heal. I primarily use a person-centered approach, but believe every client is unique and tailor my technique to fit their different counseling needs. Additionally, I utilize breath-work and aspects of relational-cultural theory. I see clients from a wide range of ages, from childhood through late adulthood. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and safe space for my clients. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, and spending time with my loved ones.
