Lesa Parker, M.S., LPC
I have been working in the behavioral health field for over 20 years providing therapy to people of all ages. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and my Master of Science degree in School Psychology from California University of Pennsylvania. I went on to study Community Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and became licensed as a Professional Counselor in 2007.
I have worked in private practice for the last 8 years but have also worked in a variety of other programs including Community Outpatient Mental Health, Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services, Family-Based Therapy, School-Based Counseling, Residential Treatment for Adults, Extended Acute Care Treatment, Dual Diagnosis Recovery, Managed Care, Preschool, and Group Home settings. I also have supervisory, training, and program development experience.
I have helped clients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, anger management, emotional abuse, forgiveness, stress management, grief, trauma, social skills, mental health with substance abuse, behavior issues, attention disorders, weight management, wellness, couples issues, family issues, self-esteem, and intellectual disabilities.
Outside of work, I teach dance fitness classes including Zumba Fitness, Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold, Aqua Zumba, and Belly Dancing Body Fitness. I enjoy spending time with my husband, our 3 sons, and our friends, doing anything from going out to eat to attending sporting events to traveling to fun/exotic locations. I also enjoy helping animals and snuggling with my 2 basset hounds, my 2 PBGVs, and my 5 rescue cats.Thank you!
