Hi I'm Jocelyn! I obtained my Master's degree from Slippery Rock University in 2022 and haveexperience working in the mental health field for roughly 3 years. Currently I am a LicensedSocial Worker pursuing my LCSW. During my Master's, I interned within a Pittsburgh PublicSchool to provide social, emotional, behavioral, and academic support while advocating for adiverse community. In which solidified my desire to work with a younger population andfamilies.As a Pittsburgh Public School Alumni, I strive to give back to my community I grew up in. I haveexperience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Including workingalongside parents and caregivers collaborating with school administration to provideknowledge and support in aims for children to achieve academic goals.My approach is client centered, focusing on building interpersonal skills, learning andimplementing coping skills, conflict resolution, behavioral functioning regulation and problemsolving. Including utilizing therapeutic modalities such as motivational interviewing to meetclients where they are at, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as I have obtained my CBTCertification. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, oppositional defiantbehaviors, ADHD, and family dynamics and conflict.Outside the office, I like to stay active as I played soccer for 12 years and to bake for friends andfamily. I enjoy going to the gym and Pilates, just as much as going to a Steeler game and goingto camp in the summer and fall time.
