Torre Horne, MA, LPC, NCC
Hi, I’m Torre. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I received both my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University. I also spend time teaching undergraduate psychology courses at Waynesburg University and love to bring this knowledge into the therapy room. In the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings ranging from hospital units, long-term stay facilities, community mental health, and wrap-around services. I now feel I have found my home in outpatient work.
I am passionate about working with those who struggle with OCD and am certified in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy; the gold standard treatment for OCD. I love being able to walk alongside someone as they face their fears head on. I have training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADS) and I cherish working with those in the perinatal stage of life as well as those transitioning to parenthood.
I use a variety of therapeutic modalities and always work to meet clients where they are using an approach for their specific needs. I am happy to see a wide range of ages and diagnoses as I believe we face challenges during every stage of life and feel the really brave souls are the ones willing to ask for help.
Outside of work I enjoy running, a good podcast, being outside with my family and anything coffee related!
Together we can work to highlight your strengths and use those as tools to travel towards hope and healing.
