Teamwork and patient-centered care are central to Trissa Gustovich's approach. Clients collaborate on treatment plans and are engaged in open, respectful dialogue. Education empowers each patient, who receives clear information about their diagnosis, treatment options, and resources. Trissa ensures that every client is heard without judgment, fostering trust and dignity to build strong therapeutic alliances and achieve positive client outcomes.
Trissa Gustovich's professional philosophy is grounded in extensive experience as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Trissa has provided care across diverse settings, including inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient behavioral health clinics, partial hospitalization programs, inpatient medical and emergency department consults, and acute crisis intervention. She welcomes everyone on their mental wellness journey with empathy, dedicating time to listen, understand, and educate. With a commitment to making a meaningful difference, she combines clinical expertise with compassionate support to help clients achieve their goals.
Due to her extensive and varied experiences in psychiatric and family nursing, it is challenging to identify a single passion or specialty diagnosis. Instead, her true passion lies in accompanying each client on their unique journey toward mental wellness. This client-centered philosophy emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and individualized care, rather than focusing on a specific condition or diagnosis.
Trissa values professional organization membership for staying current, applying evidence-based practices, and exchanging ideas with colleagues. Current professional memberships include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners - Southwestern Pennsylvania chapter, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
Trissa is the proud mother of three adult children and Gigi to three adorable grandchildren, an avid gardener, outdoor and sports enthusiast, self-proclaimed beach bum, wanderer, foodie, eclectic music lover, and a native of southwestern Pennsylvania.
"I have a lot of lived experiences. I understand and welcome your story. I would be honored to be part of your mental wellness journey".
