Samantha Kormanik, M.A., LPC
It has been my pleasure working with clients in the mental health field for over the past 16 years. In May 2004, I graduated from Seton Hill University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Psychology and Sociology. I decided to further my education by attending Seton Hill University to complete a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, in May 2006. Throughout my education, I received extensive training on human behavioral patterns and systemic thinking. I have been trained to provide individual, family, couple, and group therapy. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families who are impacted by Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, defiance, anger issues, educational concerns, and Adjustment Disorders. In addition, I have a particular interest in areas including family relational issues, blended families, trauma, divorce, and co-parenting; however, I am not limited to these specialty areas.
I have served my clients as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant, Outpatient Counselor, and Clinical Evaluator. I feel that the most crucial component of treatment is building a positive rapport with my clients and tailoring techniques/strategies to meet their needs. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Based, Structural, and Person-Centered Therapy Models. I look forward to collaborating and assisting you through your personal growth journey. It is my belief that your past does not define you, but rather prepares you to reach your true potential.
Outside of work, I enjoy running marathons, biking, yoga, and volunteering in the community. I also love exploring the city, as well as spending time with my family, friends, and my four legged friend.
