Abigail Audenried, M.S., LPC, NCC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and then went on to achieve my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in 2018. I believe that everyone has the ability to make positive growth, and change their lives for the better. My role as a therapist centers around tapping into an individual’s innate strengths and incorporating new tools in a way that feels safe and collaborative.
I am passionate about individualizing the therapy process and helping people from a strength based, person centered perspective. I use various therapeutic techniques ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Reality therapy, Feminist therapy, Solution Focused therapy and Mindfulness techniques, based on an individual’s needs and treatment goals.
Throughout my career, I have focused on supporting clients impacted by trauma and hold awareness around the needs unique to members of the LGBTQIA+ population. I am well versed in other issues including treatment of substance use disorders, grief, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, sleep problems, chronic pain, anger & stress management, sexual identity & gender concerns, marital issues, self-esteem issues, and interpersonal relationship needs.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, loved ones and my dog, Buddy. Some of my favorite hobbies include reading, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and playing board games. Above all, I am an adamant animal lover and dedicated helper.
