Susan Schilinski, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Susan Schilinski, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a decade of experience caring for patients across pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and psychiatry. Her unique background in both medicine and psychiatry allows her to bridge the gap between physical and mental health. She is dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized care that helps patients improve their mental well-being and overall quality of life.
Susan earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Robert Morris University and later completed post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her approach to care is centered on building trust, educating patients, and working together to develop treatment plans that align with each person’s unique goals. She strives to create a welcoming, judgement-free environment where every patient feels heard, valued, and hopeful as they take steps toward better mental health.
When Susan is not caring for patients she enjoys traveling, listening to music and attending concerts, cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates (through both the highs and the lows), and sharing many laughs with family and friends. One of her greatest joys is spending time with her son, who is pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and celebrating all of his accomplishments along the way. She approaches each new opportunity with curiosity and enthusiasm, values lifelong learning, and considers it a privilege to help patients navigate life’s challenges to achieve healthier, more fulfilling lives.
